Alaska Silver salmon fishing in Sitka can be described in one word - "action!" In much of same way that the king salmon do, summer brings incredible schools of silver salmon to our waters. Hearty appetites coupled with intense competition within the schools, can create a virtual feeding frenzy. Multiple hook-ups of these acrobatic fish are common, and cause a pandamonia guaranteed to get the heart pumping. In fact, silver salmon feed so actively during the summer they can often grow a pound a week, they range in size from 8 to 20 lbs.
