Alaska King Salmon fishing is nothing short of spectacular. Sitka is often referred to as Southeast Alaska's "King Capital" for having the regions highest king catch rates year in and year out. During the summer months schools of hungry king salmon move near shore from their wintering grounds in the north pacific. Here they feed on never ending schools of baitfish, in preparation for their eventual migration to their stream of origin. Hard fighting, tasty and in the prime of their lives, king salmon range from 15 to 60 lbs. Our King salmon fishing is done with medium action G-loomis rods fitted with Diawa line counter reels and 25 lb monofilament.
